Get ready — this match's format is set by the tournament.
Searching for an opponent…
Rock Paper Scissors is a hand game for two players. First, pick who you want to play against from the Home screen. Then get ready for the chant: "Rock… Paper… Scissors… Shoot!"
Lock in your move before "Shoot!" is announced — pick your ✊ ✋ or ✌️ during the chant. The instant "Shoot!" lands, both players' picks are revealed at the same time and that session's winner is decided by the classic rules.
Here's the trick to who wins: Rock crushes Scissors, Scissors cuts Paper, and Paper covers Rock. Whoever picks the winning move takes that session! Win enough sessions to take a round, and enough rounds to win the whole game — earning coins and XP along the way to level up and unlock cool new looks in the Shop. In a tournament, the number of rounds and sessions is set by the event, and a tied match goes to a single-round tiebreaker.
Play 5 or more games and you'll earn a spot on the Leaderboard. Once you're in, you're ranked by Power Score — a number from 0–1000 that blends how many credits you've earned overall (60%) with how often you win (40%). Your win-rate side of that score gets more credible the more you play — a few lucky wins early on won't inflate it much, but a strong record proven over many games will. Your score also ramps up toward its full strength as you rack up games, reaching full power at 50 games played. Play more, win more (consistently), and your score climbs. Credit contribution uses a fixed scale, so your Power does not change merely because another player joins or leaves the leaderboard.
Your Level and Win Rate show up next to your Power Score too, but they don't count toward your rank — since younger and older players level up at different speeds, keeping Level out of the ranking math keeps things fair for everyone. Open the Leaderboard from Home to see the Global rankings, or switch to Friends to see how you stack up against people you know.
Once you've got more than 100 credits, Friend and Community matches let you raise the stakes: pick a percentage of your own balance to wager before the match starts. Win, and you take that same percentage of your opponent's balance. Lose, and you pay out yours instead. A tie means nobody's stake moves at all. It's always a percentage of what you have, not a shared pot — so what you stand to win or lose depends on your own balance, not anyone else's. A small 3% community cut is taken from every settled stake to support the wider community — the winner collects the other 97%.
Whichever mode you're staking in, your opponent can always counter-propose the rounds, sessions, or the stake itself before accepting — and if you can't agree on a stake, either side can just drop it to "No stake" and the match still goes ahead. In The Community specifically, a stake also only pairs you with someone around your own level and win rate, so it stays a fair fight.
